Big and small vehicles will run on the strategically important Manali-Leh route as per time table. The administration has taken this decision after the snowfall on the night of 30 September and the arrival of winter season. This time has been fixed for the safety of the people due to cold in the morning and evening on the Manali-Leh route as the temperature reaches freezing point and the change in weather. At the same time, the police post of Himachal Pradesh Police in Sarchu has also been removed on September 16 in view of the weather conditions. Lahaul-Spiti administration will allow vehicles on the Darcha to Sarchu-Leh road from 10:00 am to 11:30 am while the movement from Himachal border Sarchu towards Manali has been allowed from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm .
After this no vehicle will be allowed. At the same time, all vehicles going to Leh will be required to register at Darcha Police Post. The Manali-Leh highway has been restored for all types of vehicular movement up to Darcha, but the administration has said that vehicles beyond Darcha to Leh will now move as per the timetable.
At the same time, Gramphu-Kaja-Samdo Highway-505 and Tandi-Tindi-Kilad-Sansarinala road passing through Kunjam Pass are also open for movement of such types of vehicles. Deputy Commissioner Lahaul-Spiti Rahul Kumar said that traveling on Manali-Leh road during winter season is risky. In such a situation, the administration will now send the vehicles plying on this route as per the time table only. The district administration has issued orders in this regard.

DAY 8
Dalhousie- Khajjiar –Dalhousie

Dalhousie –Delhi
